Your pet probably hates the time change

March 8, 2019

This could be the last weekend we here in Washington will have to adjust our clocks for Daylight Saving Time. The state is once again considering staying on Pacific Daylight Time all year round, so we'll see. Until then, your pet's schedule is about to get knocked off kilter again and he doesn't much care for it.

If you're the type of person who sticks to pretty much the same schedule every day, chances are your pet is more in tune with your routine than you might realize. Falling back/springing forward is a pain for us, but can be confusing to some pets who relish their routines. It can be doubly confusing for livestock/dairy cows.  A good way to minimize your animal's stress level is to prepare a few days ahead of time by gradually adjusting your routine to the new time. If you're reading this a little late to prepare, Fluffy will forgive all with an extra treat or cuddle time for the next few days.
