We all secretly (or not so secretly) think we could be rock stars if we just had the chance, right?

Or maybe more of a showbiz fantasy? Like appearing on the Broadway stage? Well here’s your chance to tick off both boxes. There’s a Broadway musical called Rock Of Ages that’s about a small town girl and a city boy meeting on the Sunset Strip and pursuing their Hollywood dreams. The show tells its story through classic power ballads by Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, REO Speedwagon and more.

And here’s where you come in: The show is hitting the stage of Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre and the production team is looking for local rock singers to join the cast.  You don’t have to have any musical theatre experience, but you do have to be able to sing.

The auditions will be on Tuesday, July 17 and Wednesday July 18. You’re going to need a resume and a headshot, although if you’re not at that level yet, you can just fill out a quick form on site. You’re also going to need to bring sheet music, in your key, for two songs that show off your mad vocal skills. You have to schedule an audition appointment, which you can do by clicking either of these links:

Tuesday, July 17 11:30a-2p

Wednesday, July 18 10a-1p

Even if you’re not the musical type yourself, maybe you know someone who’d be perfect for this? It’s a super fun show, you already know pretty much all of the songs, and who doesn’t want a taste of the glamorous showbiz life?

Good luck, and don’t forget to mention me when you’re accepting your Tony award . . . .
