Let's find something to do outdoors on this beautiful Puget Sound summer weekend. Shouldn't be too hard!


  • Seattle Mariners at home against the White Sox.Friday’s game is at 7:10pm and it’s Pearl Jam Fireworks Night after the game.  Saturday gametime is at 7:10pm and it’s Dee Gordon Bobblehead Nigh. Sunday the first pitch is at 1:10pm and it’s Salute to Kids Day with all kids under 14 taking home a cool Mariners cap.
  • Tacoma Rainiers vs the Salt Lake Bees Friday and Saturday at 7:05pm and Sunday 1:35pm. 
  • Seattle Sounders Saturday at 1pm vs the Vancouver Whitecaps at CenturyLink Field.
  • Bite of Seattle Friday – Sunday at Seattle Center. Seattle's Original Food & Beverage Showcase -- 60+ restaurants & pop-up vendors, Craft Beer & Cider Tasting, 90+ live bands, all NEW MUNCHIES @ The Mural, and free Bite Movie Night on Friday, A League of Their Own, outdoor beer gardens, live cooking demonstrations and cook-off battles on The Bite Cooks! Stage.  Buy tastes from 60 restaurants at the free Bite, which has cooking demos, a beer & spirits garden, and entertainment at Seattle Center. Friday is least crowded. The Alley on Fisher rooftop has a $20 package of 6 gourmet tastes to support charity. Craft beer & cider tasting is $25. Combine both for $36. Look for The Sound at The Alley on Sunday!
  • Sheryl Crow at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Saturday and Sunday at 7pm.
  • Phish at the Gorge, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30pm
  • Capitol Hill Block Party  Friday – Sunday.  Three days of music from 100 bands in the heart of Cap Hill’s Pike-Pine corridor, DJs, craft booths, and food trucks.
  • Vashon Island Strawberry Festival Friday – Sunday. A grand-parade, classic car show and parade, multiple music stages, vendor booths, alternative carnival, local artists, and street dances are all part of the fun. Free. Insider tip: DON’T drive on the ferry; walk on the boat at the Fauntleroy terminal in West Seattle and take the Shuttle bus from the Vashon dock to town – it’s only $2 each way, free under age 5.
  • Northwest Boxer Rescue Texas BBQ Fundraiser, Dessert Dash, and Silent & Live Auction. Saturday at  5:00pm at the VFW Wild West Post 91, 2000 S Union Avenue in Tacoma. This fundraiser helps make it possible for abandoned or homeless boxers to find shelter, medical care and ultimately a new home through the efforts of NWBR,
  • White Center Jubilee Days Through Sunday at White Center Heights Elementary. A carnival every day, a block party Friday evening, a car show & street fair & kids’ area on Saturday, and a paradeat 11am. Sunday. Free. .
  • King County Fair Through Sunday. Food, music, carnival rides, vendors, entertainers, 4H animals, racing pigs, and a beer & wine garden at the Enumclaw Expo Center.
  • Bremerton Summer BrewFest Friday – Sunday. A short walk from the ferry , this event features 36 Washington breweries pouring more than 100 craft beers. To celebrate the summer, our Washington brewers will be focusing on fruit infused beers. Live music and local food for age 21+.
  •  Seafair Indian Days PowWow Friday – Sunday at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Discovery Park. Competitive dancing, drumming, native dress, native art for sale, food booths, and salmon dinners outdoors. Kids under 12 are free.
  • Sequim Lavender Festival  Friday – Sunday at Carrie Blake Community Park.Sequim Lavender Growers Association™ members will offer original and hand-created gifts and personal care items produced from their Sequim lavender harvest at their vendor booths.  Lavender farm tours plus a street fair with crafts, food, beer, wine, music, and even lavender ice cream. Free.  The Sequim Lavender Street Fair is located in.  This beautiful venue will host more than 150 crafts and lavender booths, a diverse food court, live music and more.
  • Darrington Bluegrass Festival Friday – Sunday at the Darrington Bluegrass Music Park. Tons of great music outdoors, food vendors, and camping.
  • Parades in West Seattle Saturday at 11am. West Seattle Grand Parade includes pirates, clowns, marching bands, drill teams, floats, and pageantry on California Avenue SW (from Lander Street to Edmunds Street). The PAWrade of pets begins at the same time farther south on California Avenue SW (from Genesee Street to Edmunds Street).
  • Olde Burien Block Party  Saturday from noon to 11pm. The streets in old Burien close for live music, beer gardens, and food vendors on SW 152nd Street. Free.
  • The Great Inflatable Race Saturday at 9am, Lake Sammamish State Park.Feel like a kid again at the inflatable race, which includes at least eight blow-up obstacles you must get over, under, around, or through. Pay $10 for parking unless you have a Discover Pass for state parks.
  • Bon Odori Festival Friday & Saturday.The traditional summer festival in which we honor our ancestors who have passed on, remember and appreciate all they have done for us, and celebrate their ongoing presence in the lives we enjoy today. Traditional dancing, Taiko drums, martial arts, and Japanese food & crafts at Seattle Buddhist Temple.  
  • Renegade Craft Fair Saturday and Sunday, Hangar 30 at Magnuson Park in Seattle. Indoor craft fair with 170 vendors -- indie crafts, food trucks, and DJ music.
  • Chinatown Seafair Parade Sunday at 7pm Lion and dragon dances, martial arts, and the Chinese Girls Drill Team in the International District.
  • Wekfest Seattle July 22, 2018 (1 to 6 p.m.)Billed as the “dopest car show in the nation,” this custom car convention displays pre-screened aftermarket builds and hosts aftermarket vendors at CenturyLink Field Event Center.
  • Walk for Old Dogs & Old Dog Pageant Sunday July 22, 2018Celebrate and support old dogs that need foster care at this 1/3 mile dog walk at Cromwell Park in Shoreline. Costumes are welcome.
  • Parkadilly  Sunday 11am – 3pm.Family  fair at Lake Sammamish with high-energy concerts featuring catchy songs for children, a petting zoo, African dance and drums, arts & crafts projects, commercial vendors, and food trucks at Lake Sammamish State Park. Free. Bring a state park pass or pay for parking.
  • Food Truck Fest Sunday 10:30am – 6pm. Festival with 23 food trucks, music, and a beer garden at Wright Park in Tacoma. Free.
