The big event for us at The Sound this weekend is Sip+Slide on Saturday, but it's a full weekend of fun things to do.

Let's start with Sip+Slide, Saturday from 1-8 at the Fremont Foundry. Sip on offerings from regional breweries and cideries while enjoying sliders and other tasty bites from f local restaurants. Get general admission tickets, or upgrade to our Premium Experience for a more intimate experience with additional sips and tastes. Sip+Slide will benefit our friends at Treehouse.

Northwest Boxer Rescue is having a spaghetti dinner plus live and silent auction fundraiser at the VFW in Puyallup from 5 to 9 on Saturday night. You know what they say: “Everyone should have some wiggle butt.” (No, seriously, that’s really what boxer lovers say.) It’s only $10 for adults. For a fun night out in Puyallup and a chance to hang out with some sweet pooches? Worth it.

Seattle Restaurant Week continues tthrough April 19 with special deals on a three-course dinner for $33 at 165+ restaurants around here. They don't do it on Fridays and Saturdays, but hey -- how about a cheap Sunday night date night?.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival happens throughout April, and you know the drill: spectacular fields of blooming tulips and daffodils pretty much as far as the eye can see. Start in Mt. Vernon and go from there.

Thrill to off-road motorcycles racing on dirt tracks with steep jumps and obstacles at  AMA Supercross at CenturyLink Field.on Saturday.

Gem Faire is one of the largest gem, jewelry & bead shows in the United States. Vendors offer quality merchandise at manufacturers' prices -- fine jewelry, costume jewelry, precious and semi-precious gemstones, millions of beads, sparkling crystals, gold and silver, tools, jewelry supplies, and boxes all under one roof. It's all weekend -- Friday, Saturday and Sunday -- at the Washington State Fair Pavilion in Puyallup.

Vegfest is Saturday and Sunday at  the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. At this annual healthy vegetarian food festival you can taste over 500 free food samples, see cooking demonstrations by chefs from all over the country; and browse cookbooks and accessories.

Catch Me If You Can starts Friday and runs through April 29 at Tacoma Music Playhouse  Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, it's the high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. (I wish!)

Whatever you do this weekend, have fun, stay safe, and take along the New 94.1 The Sound!
