OCTOBER 20 - 21

SEATTLE, WA – Broadway Weekends, the first musical theater camp experience exclusively for adults will begin hosting pop-up regional camps this fall starting in Seattle.

During the pop-up event, participants will learn the music, the choreography, and fully stage a group ensemble number. The chosen number will include gentle dance and simple harmonies with solo opportunities for those who’d like them. The weekend will culminate in a live performance for invited family and friends.

Broadway Weekends/Seattle will take place October 20th and 21st at Century Ballroom (915 E Pine St, 98122) and will be led by Broadway performers Becky Gulsvig (Beverley and others) and Jane Bunting (dance captain) in the First National Tour of Come From Away.

The price of the weekend is $380 per person which will include a ticket to the matinee performance of Come From Away on Saturday, October 20th.  (Come From Away plays the 5thAvenue Theatre from October 9 – November 4).

Jeanna de Waal founded this project. She’s a renowned stage actress who’s been in Wicked, Kinky Boots, American Idiot, Waitress, and Finding Neverland.) and next year she’ll play Princess Diana an a much-anticipated musical stage production of the late royal’s life.

I had a quick chat with Jeanna about Broadway Weekends. It sounds like fun!
