Dogs, toys, music, bourbon & bacon: What to do around Puget Sound this weekend

It's starting to feel like spring out there!

Any time you get 2000 dogs in one place, things are going to be a little nutty.

That's exactly what's happening Saturday and Sunday at the CenturyLink Field Event Center -- the 2018 Seattle Kennel Club Dog Show. A couple thousand dogs, lots of grooming and agility and handlers walking that funny way dog handlers walk when they're leading a prized purebred around the show ring.

Some of music history’s most prolific, influential, yet unrecognized composers have been women, of course. They get their due on Sunday night at HerStory: Women Who Score at Benaroya Hall.

Thinking about a spring remodel? Might as well, since nobody can afford to actually buy a new house around here. Let's just fix up the house we have,  right? That's what the Tacoma Remodeling Expo is all about, at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center.

Also in the South Sound: Reawaken your childhood memories of your first Atari, a Cabbage Patch Kid or a sad Tamagotchi that's needed to be fed since 1997. Legos. Lincoln Logs. Etch-A-Sketch. All those and so many more at Toytopia at the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma.(It runs until June, but you should go ASAP. It's cool!) Take your kids and show them what toys were like before we just vegged out on games on our phones.

94.1 The Sound's Bourbon & Baconfest is Saturday at the Seattle Design Center in Sodo. It's sold out, so let that be a reminder that you don't want to miss our next culinary event -- grab tickets now for Sip+Slide, April 7 at the Fremont Foundry.

Lorde is at Key Arena on Friday night

And Saturday night it's The Roadshow, a massive Christian music show at the Key.

Finally, Daylight Saving Time begins early Sunday morning. Spring ahead! And have a great weekend!
