The Pumpkin Spice Latte is back earlier than ever at Starbucks

It's the first sign of autumn, but if you can't let go of summer yet, they have an iced PSL drink, too.

Summer's not over yet, but this fall is going to be a little weird, what with remote learning for school kids and lots of us still working from home through the end of the year and beyond. Maybe we all need that little extra bit of comfort that we get from the familiar taste of a longtime favorite drink.

With that in mind, our local coffee titan has decided to push the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte up to its earliest release date ever -- it's here!

According to CNN, Starbucks has sold more than 400 million PSLs since rolling it out in 2003. In other words, we like our PSLs.

In addition to the traditional hot Pumpkin Spice Latte that offers so much comfort when there's a fall chill in the air, they're also bringing back an iced drink, for those of us who can't quite say goodbye to summer yet: the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, which is an iced beverage topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice. Scratches the itch, but still keeps you cool.

You'll also notice a couple of pumpkin-themed savory snacks in the food case at the 'Buck -- the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin ("perfectly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg") and a Pumpkin Scone.

Here's the story from CNN.

And here's the scoop from starbucks.com.

Cheers!
