Smokey Rivers

M-F (3pm-8pm)

Smokey is the latest addition to the on-air team at 94.1 The Sound. In addition to playing relaxing favorites to wrap up the workday and to get into enchanting evenings around the Sound, he heads the station’s programming department. He is a lifelong fan of music and great food. Along with an accomplished career in radio, Smokey’s resume includes restauranteur, audiobook narrator, and golf hack. If he’s not hanging out at The Sound, it’s likely that he has escaped to Port Townsend to spend time with his daughter. To answer the question about the nickname: From Smokey Bear, the US Forest Service mascot. A childhood fascination with an animated bear turned into his radio persona.
